Sinai Residences Boca Raton

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) April 27, 2016

The $265 million premier senior living destination, Sinai Residences of Boca Raton, located on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s campus, has opened. Residents started moving in early this year and continue to move in every day.

The team behind the multi-year project will celebrate the Federation’s most significant project of the past two decades with several hundred invited guests at a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Ribbon Cutting will begin promptly at 11:15 am and will be immediately followed by lunch, guided tours of the brand new buildings, and a further Grand Opening ceremony.

Sinai Residences is a lifecare community designed specifically for South Florida’s fastest growing population: seniors. According to U.S. Census data, as of 2015, 19.2% of the total population in Florida is over the age of 65. Sinai Residences, which celebrated its groundbreaking 2.5 years ago and its topping off ceremony a year later, will not only provide homes for more than 450 individuals. It will bring in additional revenue for decades to the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. These funds will allow the Federation to further its mission by increasing aid to those in need in South Palm Beach County, in Israel and around the world; and to advance Jewish continuity and engagement.

“The opening of Sinai Residences signifies the most transformational moment in the history of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County,” said Matthew C. Levin, the Federation’s President & CEO. “This project is significant for its enormity in the state-of-the-art senior living it provides, but also, as a revenue generator, for its addition to the impact our Federation will be able to have here in this community and around the world for decades to come.”

Sinai Residences features more than 350 beautiful, state-of-the-art residences, providing support for all stages of senior life, including 234 independent living apartment homes, and an onsite continuum of care including 48 assisted-living residences, 60 skilled nursing suites, and 24 private memory care suites.

The not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community has been developed and is overseen by the Board of Managers of Federation CCRC Development, LLC., an affiliate of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

The ribbon cutting at the start of the event will also feature a blessing and mezuzah hanging ceremony by Rabbi Dan Levin of Temple Beth of Boca Raton.

The grand opening ceremony following lunch will include an Invocation by Rabbi Efrem Goldberg of Boca Raton Synagogue, and celebrate Sinai Residence’s journey “From Vision to Reality” with Wesley E. Finch, Board of Managers Chair and a Vice Chair of Federation; Matthew C. Levin, Federation President and CEO; Mel Lowell, Federation COO and lead professional on the Sinai Residences Project since its outset; and Chris Newport, Sinai Residences Executive Director. Elected officials’ messages will also be shared.

The guests will include Sinai residents, elected officials, community leaders, local rabbis, major Federation donors and senior staff, local Jewish agency and school leaders, as well as Sinai vendor partners. Amy Linder, Sinai Residences Director of Marketing will emcee.

A Dedication for the Ted & Barbara Wolk Spa and Fitness Center will also take place, in honor of the Wolks’ $1 million gift.

Sinai Residences offers the highest standard of engaged senior living and features a wealth of luxury services and amenities including hospitality, recreational and social services, cultural and academic pursuits, fitness programs, as well as gourmet dining with kosher dining. The Kosher dining experience is overseen by a Mashgiach, and certified as Glatt Kosher. Sinai Residences also enjoys front-row access to the many Federation-sponsored cultural, social and educational events.

As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Sinai residents can age in place with security; housing, health care, amenities and services are provided for them. As a Life Care community, residents are guaranteed access to every level of care at a predictable monthly cost, and with refundable entry-fee options. Access to health care is also guaranteed to residents from the moment they move-in, and for as long as they remain residents. When residents pass on, their heirs receive up to 95 percent of value of home.

Sinai Residences of Boca Raton is located on the north side of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus west of Boca Raton, Florida. The Sinai Residences fills acres of land that had been vacant on the Federation campus since it first officially opened in 1991. The project has brought more than 550 full time jobs to Palm Beach County, including 325 full-time construction-related jobs, and a soon to be reached total of 225 Sinai Residences employees.

The Sinai Residences development team, led by Greenbrier Development of Dallas, Texas, includes Suffolk Construction, Perkins-Eastman Architects, H.J. Sims & Co. investment bankers, among others. In addition, Life Care Services, Inc. and Executive Director Chris Newport manage the new community.
